Obama vs. Romney: Who Has Better Teeth?
Mixing politics and root canals is never a good idea. But as I watch each candidate make a case for their presidential future, the fourth generation dentist in me can’t help but notice those oh so pearly whites. I find myself drifting from points on foreign policy and focusing more on Barack Obama’s perfect Angle Class I occlusion or Mitt Romney’s high smile line and symmetrical maxillary incisors. Wow do those pearly whites have the chance to shine day in and day out! But there are some slight flaws with each candidate, I mean no one is perfect, right?
Although they both are wonderful orators, I will say Romney does exhibit slight mandibular anterior crowding and Obama appears to have a few millimeters of gingival recession above the left maxillary canine. Hmmm…I wonder if an Invisalign appliance or a gingival graft would tip the scales in November? You never know…
From a dental perspective, both candidates seem to take excellent care of their teeth and appear to brush and floss regularly. I guess the biggest question on everyone’s mind is which candidate still has his third molars. I mean the more wisdom teeth the more wisdom, right? I guess I’m out of luck 🙁
